Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) has been all over the airwaves this month promoting his new book , Conscience of a Conservative , in which he laments that “Never has a party so quickly or easily abandoned its core principles as my party did in the course of the 2016 campaign.” In the process Flake has predictably drawn heavy fire from Trumpworld , and perhaps less intuitively from certain quarters on the left.
